Capitol Hill

Having worked in several offices on Capitol Hill, I know firsthand how invaluable it is for you to have someone on your team that truly understands how the Hill works. Success in this space depends on more than just policy knowledge, it requires an understanding of the community,  committee structures, priorities, staff roles, and being a "people person". Having worked on both the committee side and in a personal office, I can bring those skills to your next campaign or project.

The Joint Economic Committee

When I joined the majority side of The Joint Economic Committee we had one goal in mind, how do we tell the story of the economy in a way that reflects working Americans' experiences? How do we go beyond job numbers and understand what Americans were feeling at the kitchen table when they were paying their bills? The answer was to ensure the data we were putting out went beyond the numbers and told a full story.

Another large priority of the Joint Economic Committee was to provide data and research to members of Congress on how their constituents were doing under Biden's Economic policies. We covered everything from Jobs Day to data on how reproductive justice impacts the economy. This meant that as the Digital Director I was not only creating these resources, but building a strong network so that Congressional members knew these resources existed in creative ways to reach their constituents. Below is a "choose your own adventure" Twitter thread I put together to highlight the importance of reproductive health and a woman's financial journey.

A Resource for Congressional Offices

Senator Elissa Slotkin

I joined Senator Elissa Slotkin's senate office in her freshmen year, really helping her develop what her voice could look like, video series we could create to keep her constituents informed, and covering her digital presence for her State of the Union Rebuttal speech in 2025.

Good digital makes all the difference in reaching your constituents in an authentic way that makes Congressional members appear transparent and ready to listen and get to work.
